Custom WooWoo Loo Separett matches vernacular architecture

When we were initially contacted by Borley Church in Essex, the planning requirements for a compost toilet and building seemed to be an obstacle. We realised that a standard WooWoo Loo Separett was not going to meet the strict aesthetics that would satisfy the planners, so we set about constructing a custom wooden building that would be clad and painted to match the vernacular style (black painted, feather-edge boards).

The client arranged for the foundation and pathway to be laid down, and WooWoo’s installer and builder set about putting it together.

The client arranged for the roof to be tiled afterwards. Mains electrics were installed by a local contractor, who also provided the emergency pull cord to ensure the Separett toilet and WooWoo Loo building were accessible for wheelchair and less-abled users.

Michael, from Borley & Liston PCC sent us the photos of the completed project, and commented:

Herewith a few snaps of the loo. It works well and no problems so far. It was slightly bigger project than we had anticipated, especially getting the Planners on board, but it has already proved its worth. The grass is now growing through the stabiliser mesh for wheelchairs.

So thanks for all the support over the year that it has taken.
