Description
The Separett Ejektortank is installed outside your building and connects to the urine outlet of your Separett waterless compost toilet (such as the Tiny, Villa or Weekend), providing up to 50 litres of storage (typically, this equates to 2 – 3 weeks of storage).
A standard water supply hose is connected, and when flowing, the urine is automatically diluted to the correct mixture (approximately eight parts water and one part urine) so that vegetation can absorb the nutrition without being damaged. The urine, which contains most of our useful waste (nitrogen), can simply be spread over flowerbeds, plants, lawns or bushes.
A visual float shows when the tank is full. Separett Ejektortank is easy to fit and has no moveable parts (apart from the float). In order for it to work optimally, it needs access to mains water with a pressure of at least 2.5 bar (250 kPa). Hose connection to the Ejektortank is standard 1/2” Gardena style ‘quick’ connection.
What’s included?
-
Container 50 litre
-
Lid / ejector with mixing jet 8:1 –
-
Float (when red line appears, 5 litres of storage remain)
-
Hose – 10 m 3/4 ”with 50 cm nozzle (extendable to max 20 m)
Installation
Ejektortank is connected to a ½” garden hose and is best if buried a little in the ground. Set the Ejektortank on gravel in case of overflow (when full).
Bear in mind that the Ejektortank must be positioned lower than the toilet to which it is connected. The connecting hose (urine in) should have a slope of at least 1 cm per metre in order to ensure gravity feed into the tank.
