This elegant and durable seat can be connected to various types of composting units and urine collection or filtration systems. The solid waste chute will need to be 200mm diameter (not supplied).
Installation requires two floor openings:
- a 200 mm hole for the solid waste chute
- a hole for the liquid waste hose at the front
An installation manual is included.

We recommend urine-separating pedestals for domestic/family use as opposed to public use. To use a urine separating pedestal, male users should sit down to urinate, to ensure that urine goes to the front section. Small children may need to be supervised to ensure they sit far enough back.
The unit will be delivered on a pallet as a ‘kerbside’ delivery. For more details on pallet deliveries, please see delivery methods.

Installation advice
Depending on where the urine is going (to a soakaway pit, leachate drain, existing drain etc), there is a possibility of odours coming up the urine pipe. In most cases, the ventilation system for the main composting toilet should take care of them, but you may want to consider fitting a 32mm HepvO self sealing waste trap (not included).
The self sealing trap ensures that liquids can flow one way, but is closed (ie stops odours) when no liquid is there.nA 32mm HepvO trap/valve can be fitted, in an accessible location, between the urine output from the toilet, and the intended destination.
To prolong the working life of the HepvO trap, we recommend using a spray bottle with 50:50 white vingear and water to ‘spritz’ the front of the bowl, or a small amount of water can be poured into the urinal section daily. Depending on the amount of use, an occasional rinse with white vinegar or citric acid is helpful in preventing urine calcification in the pipework etc.
