Kazuba – Raised Installation in Hull

Impressive work by Rooted In Hull, an innovative urban farm, who decided to install one of our Kazuba KL2 waterless toilets in a rather creative way. They no longer have to rely on their old chemical loo and are now fully self-sufficient in an ecologically friendly and sustainable way.

Due to the nature of their grounds, they were unable to dig down 80cm which is usually required to install our high capacity Kazuba toilets. Instead they opted to create a metal frame that would partly raise the toilet system from its usual position inside the ground, reducing the digging required. A wooden ramp was then built so that this KL2 toilet remains accessible to wheelchair users and open to the whole community.

The toilet was officially opened last week by the Lord Mayor of Hull and the High Sheriff of the East Riding of Yorkshire. A big well done to everyone involved.
