It has the capability of handling the toilet needs from up to 6 people on a regular basis. The toilet is used whenever it’s needed, even if someone has just visited it. Description

The Separett CINDI Basic is an all electric incinerating, waterless toilet that produces only ash as a by-product. The electronics monitor all aspects of the toilet to ensure complete safety and correct incinerating/evaporating cycles to deal with the daily use for up to six people. The built-in catalytic convertor ensures odours are removed before being vented through the 110mm vent system (not included) where steam etc will gently and odourlessly disperse.

Cindi® Basic burns solid waste to ashes at around 550 degrees Celsius (1200 Fahrenheit). Like an oven, it uses a heating element to heat up the chamber. All moisture and liquids evaporate and all solid waste, together with the paper bag, is incinerated to ashes. The time needed to reach 550 degrees depends on the amount of waste and liquids present in the chamber during the process.

Paying a Visit!

To use the toilet, open the seat and place one of the bags inside (the bag protects the stainless steel bowl from the feces and limits the need for cleaning). Use the toilet in the normal way, then press the long ‘flush’ lever which will drop the bag and contents into the lower incineration chamber. Then just press the button and leave.

Even if the toilet is already in an ongoing incineration process, it’s important to both flush and to start the program by pushing the button.

When no incineration programme is running, and the toilet is in standby mode, the fan constantly operates at low speed. The purpose of this is to let moisture ventilate out of the toilet and to prevent cold air from getting in to the toilet through the pipe.

Emptying

The display on the CINDI Basic will indicate when it’s time to empty the ash pan (it’s usually after around 50 uses). After around 100 uses, you will be requested to clean the ash pan - just empty the ash pan as usual, then add 1 litre of water, replace and press the button to start the program - the water vapour will clean the catayst and the furnace.

What’s Included?

The following is included with the toilet: Long bend Ø110 mm 90°, cleaning brush, dimensional drawing, 100 in no. bags, windcowl, chisel, O-ring and extra fuses.

In addition to the toilet, you will also need the VENTILATION KIT.

Servicing & Maintenance

In addition to normal cleaning with a damp cloth the display notifies when it is time to clean the ash pan - the cleaning operation also means that the catalyst and the furnace are cleaned by water vapour formed. When the ash is emptied, 1 litre of water is poured into the toilet and the program is started. It also tells when the smoke pipe needs to be swept, this is done by using a steel brush that comes with the toilet, and a vacuum cleaner.

For your incinerating toilet to function optimally, it will need an occasional service. If the toilet is used in a permanent home (and used as the main toilet) it is recommended to servicing the toilet once every year and for holiday homes every two to three years. During the service the toilet is inspected and cleaned thoroughly. Worn parts are replaced as needed and your toilet will be as good as new. Servicing costs and replacement parts (replaced due to wear and tear) are not covered by the warranty.
