The new Separett Weekend Prime is an ideal waterless compost toilet for weekend cabins, off-grid homes, or any situation where full-time toilet use isn’t needed. It requires no electricity or plumbing and can be screwed to a wall or floor, or left freestanding to relocate as needed.
Simplicity and durability are key and this has been achieved by removing all the electronic parts, ventilation system and concealing screen compared to the Separett Tiny. Odour control is managed by adding a handful of cover material (such as fine wood shavings, or coconut coir) after each ‘solids’ visit, which will also visually cover the last use.
The Separett Weekend Prime is a urine-separating waterless compost toilet – sitting down to use the toilet will ensure that urine is directed into the removable container at the front, and solids fall in the rear.
The use of a cover material means that the solids container will fill up quicker compared to the Separett Tiny, but access to the container, for emptying, is simple and straightforward. The contents can be readily composted in a suitable compost bin, or disposed of in a suitable manner. Find out more about composting and dealing with solids.
The Weekend Prime comes with a removable liquids container, although it is possible to purchase a kit to change this to divert urine outside.
The Weekend Prime doesn’t have any electronic components which makes it a simpler and more robust product that is easy to install, relocatable and silent in use.
Separett Weekend Prime does not have a fan or ventilation system, so odour management is achieved using carbon-based cover materials such as wood shavings or coconut coir. The urine-separating design keeps solids drier, further reducing odour. We suggest using a 5cm layer of a carbon material as a starter in the base, which will act as an absorbent sponge, and then add a handful after each solid use – the idea is to ensure the most recent use is covered up.
With no powered ventilation, the Weekend Prime will require more frequent emptying than the Separett Tiny.
– Urine container: For two users, empty at least every other day, preferably daily.
– Solid container: For two users, empty approximately once a week or as needed.
WooWoo is the exclusive distributor for Separett in the UK and Ireland. We have a wide range of accessories and spare parts available if required. In addition, our legendary support team are on hand with any technical or operational queries you have.
Since Brexit, the process of selling to non-UK customers (including those in Ireland!) has changed but we don’t want our customers to pay more so we are offering to refund your customs duties and admin fees.
VAT generally evens itself out:
We reduce our price when selling to non-UK countries. This is because we don’t charge UK VAT (20%) for customers outside the UK.
The VAT rate is typically similar in other countries, around 20%, so the saving made by not paying UK VAT is generally offset by paying local VAT upon import.
Customs duty/admin fees:
Keep your receipt for customs or admin fees and send it to us. We’ll refund these extra fees back to your account.
In short…
Non-UK customers shouldn’t have to pay more for their products than our UK customers.
